From September 9, TLC Healthcare (TLC) will be introducing a rapid antigen testing program at their 11 residential aged care homes located across Melbourne and Geelong. This program is a critical step in preparing for the changes that will be introduced when 80% of the Australian population is vaccinated against COVID-19.
TLC Healthcare (TLC) has been awarded 205 subsidised residential aged care places in the 2020 Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR), which is 100% of their requested places. This is the highest number of aged care places allocated to a single provider in Australia.
Aged care operator TLC was on Friday appointed to return to more than 100 homes in Victoria already visited by the two companies and vaccinate residents.
TLC runs aged care homes in Melbourne and Geelong. Its 11 homes had zero coronavirus cases last year during Victoria’s second wave, when 655 people died in private aged care.
